Being 20-something is not easy.

Hmmm so where to start - as the title of my post 'being 20-something is not easy', this really is an under statement. In fact I guess you could say no matter you age things are never easy unless you are building up your career and therefore are on the right path to achieving what you want. Life is all about getting that dollar - regardless of age - we are judged upon that sole factor 'income' and 'degrees'. To me having a degree is fantastic yes - but what you do with it after achieving it is what really matters to getting on the your right road to success and this is not always easy, especially when jobs are not that easy to come by in the field you want to pursue.

I remember the days when I thought working in an office would suit my lifestyle - I found office work to be pretty draining and the repetitive workload made me realise this was just not me. Fashion however was something entirely different and has since became a huge part of my life - be it blogging around the city - hunting down statement pieces to inspire others. This was somethin' I was totally diggin' and it kind of clicked that this was something I would possibly pursue further down the road. Ultimately sometimes things are not planned and 'fall' into place. Without that passion and drive factor you have to ask yourself is this something I really want to pursue later down the road? If it's not then it is never too late to change it - even with the risks involved.

Remember Carrie Bradshaw in SATC saying 'When I first moved to New York and I was totally broke, sometimes I brought Vogue instead of dinner. I found it fed me more.' This is totally relatable in some cases when it comes to changing your path. I am sure it is completely worth it in the end when you are doing something you love with drive, passion and power. Ultimately doing something you love is far better than doing something you hate.

Here's to all the millennials doing what you love.
